It's Christmas time.
For our family, it's also vacation time and we are resting, relaxing and enjoying fun time together.
But there are also times this year that I struggle with my depression.
We lost a baby this year, back in August, and I am still struggling with fertility issues.
A sweet friend died this morning, another friend, her son, is going through a rough time and I feel great compassion for him.
Many struggle with depression during the holidays.
FIGHT BACK!!!!
Pump up the vitamins
Pump up the music
Get up and get busy!
Look around and COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS
Count your blessings
Name them one by one
Count your blessings
See What God hath done
Count your blessings!
Name them one by one.
For my dear friends and my family
I name you one by one, I count myself thankful for all God has sent to me and given me.
Thank you Lord for my husband, my children, my friends, my home, my life.
I am truly blessed.
Merry Christmas everyone.
Amy

I'm sorry to hear about your recent losses. I too struggle with depression this time of the year, I keep remembering our last family Christmas before we lost my mother and brother, both suddenly and unexpectedly. You're right about counting our blessings. Even though I've lost family and even our home, I have so much more. A husband, four healthy kids, and a warm apartment for all of us to be together in. Those are true blessings, and like you I'm very thankful for what I have.
Mrs. Wingfield,
Thank you for the reminder to count our blessings. God has given us so much. Even when things don't go my way, I need to be thankful. Praise the Lord for His faithfulness to give us just what we need. (2 Corinthians 12:9-10)
